Mission StatementThe mission of the Durham Engineer's Club is to promote the general principles and policies of engineering and to share in the advancement of engineering projects of civil interest. The club seeks to promote the Engineering field through monthly technical meetings and field trips, and to support those pursuing a future in the Engineering discipline. Our members have a diverse background of engineering disciplines and represent several companies located in the Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill area.HistoryThe Durham Engineer's Club was founded in 1944 by local engineers from Durham, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. There first meeting was held on May 15, 1944 in the auditorium of the Duke Power Company. W. M. Piatt, C. D. Faucette, Guy H. Bennett and T. C.
